Motherhood Photographer in Cornwall

The photos you’re in are the ones they’ll cherish.

Motherhood photography sessions in Cornwall hold space for you - whether you’re cradling a newborn, chasing a toddler, or navigating the teen years. I know that you’re realising that you don’t get a second shot once a phase has passed. No matter how imperfectly you feel you’re doing, you want to be in the frame for once. I’m here with an understanding heart, camera in hand.

I offer motherhood photoshoots in my natural light home studio in Grampound or outdoors in Cornwall.

Michelle was wonderful, very welcoming and made me feel at ease. The photographs are so lovely and will be treasured for years to come. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to capture some precious pictures with their babies.

Why book a Motherhood Photoshoot

motherhood photography in Grampound, Cornwall

If you’re privileged enough to become a mother, and have the incredible good fortune to be raising your children in beautiful Cornwall, then you have much to celebrate! We live in such a beautiful place, and a motherhood photoshoot is a powerful way to capture the wonderful time of loving them while they’re little.

“Your children won’t stay little forever. Let’s freeze these moments before they become just a memory.”

However you want your motherhood captured, I’ll meet you there. So many mothers hide from the camera - feeling too tired, too unsure, or too “not enough”. But you are more than enough. Right now, you are everything. And one day, your children will look for you in photos (not for perfection, but for proof).

You need to give them something beautiful and real to hold on to - to show how you were there, loving them like no one else could.

Skin-to-Skin

If you’re open to going deeper, we can create space for skin-to-skin photography - a powerful, grounding way to document the intimacy and presence of this chapter. These sessions are incredibly therapeutic, both emotionally and visually.

Inspired by my Bodies of Mothers project, these images celebrate not only your role as a mother, but your body as the safe haven it’s been - nourishing, comforting, and holding so much love.

FAQs

Where is your studio located?

My home studio is in Grampound, just on the A390 between Truro and St Austell.

Can we include dad in the session?

I find that the energy shifts significantly when it’s not just mum and her babies. A family photoshoot is absolutely possible, which will obviously include dad, but for a motherhood session I would advise just mum being there.

Can we include grandmother in the session?

Yes absolutely. I think a multi-generational session is a beautiful celebration of motherhood.

How long is a motherhood photoshoot?

Motherhood sessions last around 1 hour.

How much does a motherhood session cost?

There is a £65 session fee which covers all the preparation for your session and the time of the photoshoot. Images are purchased separately and digital bundles and print products start from £249. All-inclusive packages start from £64.80 per month.

How long after the session will I see my images?

Approximately 2 weeks after your session we’ll meet back at the studio where you’ll see your photos for the first time and be able to choose the ones you’d like, and your wall art etc.

What to expect during your motherhood photoshoot

Your motherhood photographer in Cornwall

Consultation and planning

Ahead of your session you will be sent a prep guide, with some simple guidelines to help you get the best out of your time with me. We will also make time to schedule a consultation to discuss some of the details ahead of the session.

Session & workflow

Your session will flow organically, and the starting point will always depend on the age, stage & mood of your little one on the day. I don’t have any expectations and am here to capture connection, not a performance.

Michelle, I can’t stop looking at the photos of Florence. As you know I wasn’t as keen on having myself in the photos but you’ve captured lovely touching moments between Florence and I. I can’t express any more how pleased with them I am and thank you for giving us some treasured memories we can look at over and over!

Thank you Michelle. From the minute we set foot inside your house you were professional, relaxed and put us both at ease. Up until our shoot I had no photos of myself and my little girl and you nailed it. xx
