This year I decided to offer seasonal mini photography sessions and donate all the shoot fees to Little Harbour (the children's hospice in St Austell). If I can do a small something to help bring comfort or a smile to children and parents dealing with limited life conditions, it's my way of expressing the gratitude I have for my family's health.
The first day of mini sessions was on 13th November 2016 for outdoor family photos. I picked a spot local to me on the Roseland Peninsula called Towan Beach - I love it for the beach and fields, even though it's a little further out for non-Roselanders to travel. Once again, the weather gods were kind to me and despite not great forecasts and wind and rain the day before, we had a bright, dry afternoon.
Each family had 30 minutes shooting time and I met the first lot on the beach - Kathy, Matt and their two girls. Next up was baby Theo with his grandparents, visiting from Spain. I'd photographed him with his mum and dad on the beach a few weeks prior so it was nice to see him again so soon after. Lastly was Karen, Phil, Charlie and Archie for the perfect golden hour session. I love how they all turned out and it was really great fun and a good challenge doing a few sessions back to back. It was a fantastic way to raise some money and get a taste for mini sessions.
Here are a few from the day. Make sure you like my Facebook page to keep informed about future mini sessions - I'm thinking of doing some more in Spring 2017.
