Laura & James' Wedding

Laura and I met when she came in to have photos of her 8 month old done.  She was newly pregnant with 'number 2' and returned for family and newborn photos when he came along later that year.  We clicked.  She began to feel a bit more relaxed in front of the camera (self-confessed camera shy).  Her other half came for the second session and despite being very camera shy too, he didn't hate the results.  So they asked me if I'd be prepared to shoot their wedding and same-day christenings for the boys.  I was happy to give it a go, on the understanding that it's not my usual thing.

We'd agreed to a few hours coverage - church wedding and christening ceremonies and then some time capturing candid photos of the guests at the venue.  They were very insistent that they wanted relaxed, informal, non-posed photos, which suits my style and personality well.  I probably would have been a lot more nervous if they weren't such incredibly relaxed people.  Laura has a wonderfully dry sense of humour and they honestly didn't have huge expectations I don't think.  The day was gorgeous and sunny for the ceremony in a lovely old church at Treverbyn.  It was brilliant being part of the day, while having a job to do.  I loved every moment of capturing the moments and memories for these guys, and would love to do more now!!

Here are few from the day...
